The assessment of student progress is a continuous process and takes
place throughout each year and across K-6. Student portfolios are kept
as part of the assessment process. These provide evidence of children’s
learning in particular key learning areas (KLAs) and give children the
responsibility for maintaining and building their records of progress
and achievement.
parent information evenings
All grades hold a parent information evening at the beginning of each
year to provide parents with information about the educational program
ahead, associated activities and expectations.
education week
During Education Week, parents are encouraged to visit the school and
view the childrens’ work in their classroms. As well, the school
organises a range of displays, both static and dynamic, for viewing by
parents and the public.
student progress reports
Written reports detailing the students' progress during each semester
are issued in June and December. Student portfolios support these
reports.
parent/teacher interviews
Teachers are available to discuss student progress and other matters at
any time during the year. Appointments must be made and this is done by
contacting the office.
