Avalon Public School has three dance groups comprising a total of around eighty students from Years 2 to 6. Interested students are auditioned and selected at the beginning of the school year and rehearse regularly during the year. These groups represent the school with distinction at the Sydney North Dance Festival, State Dance Festival, Northern Beaches Eisteddfod and the NSW Schools Spectacular. Members of the dance groups have the opportunity to audition for district and regional dance ensembles and attendance at the Sydney North Talented Dance Camp. The Avalon Public School Dance Group is supported by an energetic parent committee, which always welcomes new members.
